North Stradbroke Sea Kayak Adventure - 2 Days |
A 2 day Kayak trip to North Stradbroke Island, with amazing wildlife and great camping. You will be amazed to find so much hidden beauty and wildlife so close to the city. Join us for a fantastic Stradbroke Island experience today!
This activity goes to and around North Stradbroke Island
Brisbane
Brisbane Queensland
2 days. We will meet at 8.30am and proceed to pack our kayaks with
gear, followed by a comprehensive equipment and trip orientation,
which should then have us on the water at about 9.30am. We will return
to Victoria Pt at approximately 3.00pm on the following afternoon.
We do require a 4 person minimum to confirm a tour.
Bring suncream, hat and sunglasses, camera, personal water bottle, swimmers, towel, sleeping bag, clothes, shoes that can get wet, warm clothes for the night, torch and raincoat. Toiletries - including toilet paper, zip lock bags and bio degradable soap.
On this 2 day kayak trip we camp over on North Stradbroke at Blakesleys Beach, also known as Blakesleys Anchorage, a superb white sandy spot for camping. During the tour we will get to paddle around some of the islands and through the channels of Moreton & Redland Bays as we make our passage to and from North Stradbroke.
We paddle a section of the North Stradbroke shoreline with distinct sea grass beds, that is food for the dugong and turtles that frequent the isolated waters. The fishing is excellent, and we encourage group members to bring some basic fishing gear. We have been fortunate enough to sight the elusive dugong on many occasions. Other sightings of bottle nosed dolphins, many green turtles feeding and abundant birdlife fill our days on the water and in camp.
The North Stradbroke 2 Day Adventure offers a truly unique and memorable experience for people of all paddling capabilities and interests. We aim all the trips at first timers - as we believe a "sense of adventure" is more important than having any experience. No kayaking experience is required as we can ease first timers into the more stable kayaks until confidence and skills increase. We paddle no more than 1.5 - 2 hrs at any one time before we have a break and we average 10 -15 kms per day over 3 - 4 hours, depending on conditions. You do need to be confident around water and for your own safety, please ensure that you make mention of any medical conditions upon booking

* How to pour all the drinks in a café menu with style (you think you can pour a cappuccino - but can you pour a vienna, long macchiato and

* How to clean your equipment to maintain the taste of your coffee.
This is a very practical, hands-on course, so you can expect to have lots of time to practice your new skills! This course is perfect for:
